Why so much content?

An acoustic instrument is a non-repetitive sound source. 
Each d’sh and b’ff is unique. When you sample it, you freeze the time for the sound and turn it into something repetitive. 
To get as close as possible to the original, you require a lot of these repetitions. 
The more you have, the less the human ear narrows out the so called „machine-gun-effect“.

Because you can get way more out of one single drumset, that you might think. Our strategy is to take the same base-kit, but varying the components, to create a perfectly balanced but versaitle palette to use.

We as musicians and industry insiders are using our custom samples for several years, simply because the current consumer products can not achieve the end-results, we want for our productions. 
We felt it was the time to revolutionize virtual music making in a way, only a few people on the planet were so far able to do.
Our very first available drumset is the result of nearly a decade of personal research and practical use.

Can I use it on my Macbook?

Yes, you can! We offer prebounced submixes and a stereo-out channel only, for lightweight mobile use. You can find more information in the manual.

Even better: Our groove-generator the MIDI Machine generates individually controllable grooves with the hit of a few keys only. Please read What is the MIDI Machine for more information.

Do I need to know how to program drums?

No, you don’t! Our built-in groove-generator is designed to serve as an entertainer-keyboard-playmode for realistic drumbeat creation on the fly. The resulted drumbeat is automatically recorded and easy to save or simply drag’n drop into your DAW.

What is the MIDI Machine?

The MIDI Machine is our own invention, an adaptive and controllable groove-generator. 
It is inspired by classic entertainer-keyboards from brands like Casio or Roland, offering the possibility to create realistic drum grooves to the given tempo (synced or free) with the hit of a few keys.

No, you don’t! The IGUANA Karma Edition is a library for the free Kontakt 6 Player, available at no cost on www.native-instruments.com

Do you have presets?

We offer various presets, so called „snapshots“ within Kontakt 6 Player. These snapshots are very easy to use and a great starting point to shape your own sound.

Can I export each mic separately?

Yes, you can! We offer 35 separate mic-positions that are individually routable directly in the interface. All mic-positions are in-phase and unprocessed.

The multi-layered and adaptive structure with up to 12 different drum-elements to combine, gives according to our calculation (3 speedmoods * 12 loops-faculty) 1.437.004.800 8-bar-variations, that are customizable, And if you think about the switchable elements (7 kickdrumbeater, 4 snares etc.) it's a massive palette.
